How?
Just divide the number by 2 and add a zero at the end if it’s even. If it’s odd, subtract 1, divide by 2, and add 5 at the end.
Example:
246 × 5 = (246 ÷ 2) = 123 → 1230
137 × 5 = (136 ÷ 2 = 68) → 685

Example:
25² = 2 × 3 = 6 → 625
75² = 7 × 8 = 56 → 5625

3️⃣ Divisibility Rule for 3

Tip: Add the digits of the number. If the sum is divisible by 3, so is the number.
Example:
456 → 4+5+6 = 15 → divisible by 3

4️⃣ Multiplying Two-Digit Numbers (Between 11 and 19)

Method: Add the unit digit of the second number to the first number, then multiply by 10 and add the product of the unit digits.
Example:
13 × 14 → (13 + 4) × 10 + (3×4)
17 × 10 = 170, 3×4=12 → 170 +12 = 182

Example:
98² = (100 - 2)² = 10000 - 400 + 4 = 9604
102² = 10000 + 400 + 4 = 10404

6️⃣ Quick Percent Calculation

Tip: 10% of a number = move decimal one place left
Example:
10% of 450 = 45
Also:
5% = 10% ÷ 2 → 5% of 450 = 22.5

7️⃣ Doubling and Halving Trick

For multiplication: double one number, halve the other.
Example:
16 × 25 → 8 × 50 → 4 × 100 = 400

8️⃣ Magic of 9’s Multiplication

Tip: The sum of digits in the product of 9 × any number (1-10) is 9.
Example:
9 × 7 = 63 → 6+3 = 9

9️⃣ Check if a Number is Divisible by 11

Tip: Alternate sum of digits → divisible by 11?
Example:
121 → 1-2+1=0 → divisible by 11

🔟 Multiplying by 11

Tip: For two-digit numbers: add digits, put in the middle.
